This is my first time in New York and this hotel was closest to the things we wanted to do. The hotel is a fair price and the staff is very nice, especially the cleaning ladies. When we got there, they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. After that they gave us a key to room that had no ac. They ended up putting us in another room with great ac, close to the little cafe they have and their patio. It was the best. I would definitely stay there again.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and recently renovated. I was concerned because when you see the pictures online there are photos of a very old looking rooms and that is not what the rooms look like now. I just stay a weekend on NYC so I only used the room for leaving my stuff safe and to sleep. For that purposes, the room was just perfect. Yes, it is small, but I was not a problem for me and my partner. If you are a big person, maybe this is not the right hotel for you. The service was 24/7, they have coffee and water for free. Location is great. 100% recommend if you are looking for a cute and safe place to sleep.
Spotlessly clean, conveniently (and safely) located, and affordably priced - with no resort fee. The rooms are tiny - but no smaller than other hotels twice the price. Cleverly designed beds with open space beneath to stash luggage makes it easily workable. I had no issues with hot water or water pressure, and the bathroom had a full size tub. There are few in room amenities, but each floor has a "kitchen closet" where you can make coffee by the cup and find a community mini fridge. The neighborhood is awesome with central park and the museum of natural history nearby and the subway one block away. It's not a five star resort, but it is an exceptional value if you need a clean (so so clean! even in the stairwells) quiet place to sleep.
Great location in Manhattan, just a 3-minute walk to the nearest subway station and a 10-minute walk to Central Park! Knowledgeable and kind front desk staff, easy check in and luggage storage. The room is very compact, basically just a bed with bathroom, but uses space very efficiently and includes a mini fridge, TV, small safe, closet, and under-bed storage. Very clean and comfortable with in-room temperature controls. Included shampoo/conditioner was lovely, and there was a full bottle of hand sanitizer for in-room use. I was on the 2nd floor and I didn't hear much street noise, but you can hear hallway sounds easily; not bothersome to me since I wear earplugs to sleep. Cute outdoor patio with a nifty drink station/microwave next to it. Overall, everything you would want in a hotel, especially when you're mostly out sightseeing. Highly recommended!
First, I cannot say this hotel will work for folks with significant mobility limitations. The rooms are just big enough (including space for luggage). Bathrooms are very small. Tall stairs at the entrance. I booked this bc I couldn't do hostiles while traveling with my mother. For a whole hotel room, the price point is great. Everything is clean and looks newly renovated. The inside is very cute. no bad smells, comfortable temperature. 24 hour tea and coffee service. No regrets booking.
Had a lovely stay here for 7 nights. Facilities are fairly basic but the hotel is very clean and comfortable, and great value compared to other hotels in NYC. Staff were friendly. Location is excellent. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24/7. The WiFi is a little patchy but it did work most of the time. The boilers can be a bit loud but it's usually not for too long.
The room was tiny but the bed was really comfy. It was very clean and well updated. There was really nice air conditioning in the room and on my floor there was a little public kitchenette. Only problem with it was that when we arrived it did smell a bit of marijuana in the hallway, but that's not really the hotels fault. For a short little trip I would stay here again.
The folks running the Belnord Hotel were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small, just large enough for the bed, two small night stands and one person to walk around it at a time. The bathroom also small. But, your in NYC so it's not a big deal. Also, it was very clean. The amenities included a rooftop outdoor area that was really nice. Next to the outdoor rooftop area was a kitchen that included free coffee and tea and a snack machine. Again not the Plaza but it was the least expensive hotel I could find in the area I wanted to be in, the Upper West Side near the park. I would highly recommend this hotel so long as you understand what you get for your $$$.
